PBLINK Summary of 2020
No doubt about it, 2020 has been a special leap year. It had 29 days in February, 300 days in March and 4 years in April!
We all survived those challenges and emerged wiser and more experienced than ever. It has been very inspiring to observe everyone coming out to offer free support, share knowledge and free business advice. Most importantly, it’s reassuring that the world didn’t just stop.
Here is a quick overview of what we have been working on at PBLINK in 2020.
Strategic partnerships
This is a great opportunity for me to say big thank you to all our Partners: Kate from Carter Lemon Camerons LLP, Adrian from Neadoo Digital, Paweł from Sami Swoi Przekazy Pieniezne and Radomir from Best Foods.
We welcomed three new strategic partners this year: Cristina and Pedro from Happy People Learning Centre, Sebastian from City and Country Financial Services and Bill from Precision Presentation.
Thanks to their support we were able to expand PBLINK work to deliver a busy calendar of webinars and networking events, broaden our Membership offering and explore new opportunities.
Membership Engagement
Our Membership has been around 100 active members, from a diverse range of industries and specialities and it has been really inspiring to witness first hand how everyone took on all the challenges 2020 brought us and turned them into opportunities.
A new set of Member benefits was introduced to enhance the new virtual way of networking and to improve the way we connect with each other and build lasting relationships.
Key points include:
- Onboarding for new Members
- Pre-networking sessions for Members only before our online events
- Access to delegate lists & recordings from online events
- Private Members-only Facebook group.
Women’s Business Link
Four dedicated businesswomen got together this year to form a brand-new networking organisation for women by women: Women’s Business Link. It is a membership organisation offering networking opportunities and professional support for women who want to join a female-led community. Check out their page, say hello and come to the next event.
Events
The year started as usual, with a full calendar of networking opportunities, then it transformed into an even busier nine months of online webinars and online networking meetings.
Our flagship Congress of Polish Entrepreneurs also took place online this November and the agenda was all about the New Rules of Customer Experience. For those who missed it, you can access the recording HERE.
The British Polish Construction Forum took place in June and our brand new Webinar for Diverse Entrepreneurs in the UK in October. You can watch it again HERE.
The Polish Business Roadshow virtually visited 11 cities this year. Big thank you to 19 business experts who gave their time and shared their expertise to Polish Entrepreneurs across the UK as part of this project. Read the full report HERE (in Polish).
Several new event formats were introduced as a result of lockdown, including Just Networking and Business Insights. In summary, we noted approximately 640 registrations for approx 21 events received from 400 individual email addresses.
Content
2020 was a year of content and we have already launched PBLINK Stories - a series of podcasts featuring our Members and their stories of achieving success in business.
With great input from our Partners and Members, we have also published an eBook on Brexit and have more eBooks scheduled for 2021.
