    1: Cloud Accounting/Bookkeeping Specialist

    Cloud Accounting/Bookkeeping Specialist

    Job Description:
    • Ref: HRJDCA

    • Job Title: Cloud Accounting/Bookkeeping Specialist

    • Hours: 35hrs Full time or 18hrs Part-time - Flexible

    • Holidays: 24 days per year plus bank holidays (FTE)

    • Reports to: Operations Manager

    • Location: Stafford ST16

    1. Purpose of the Job:

    You will work closely with the consultancy team and project managers to deliver quality products and services to a portfolio of clients, guiding them through complex accounting and transactional processes, using Cloud technologies and your knowledge and experience of bookkeeping or accounting. Full training will be given on all software. However, any experience is advantageous.


    2. Main Activities and Tasks
    • Extensive client-facing activities (virtual meetings, report writing with possible requirements for onsite visits).

    • Extensive analysis of eCommerce accounting activities and transactions.

    • Integrations of accounting software platforms to other cloud platforms.

    • Mentoring junior and apprentice team members.

    • Contributing to Outserve internal projects.

    • Striving for continuous improvement.


    3. General Accountabilities and Responsibilities
    • Creation of detailed and accurate eCommerce reconciliation reporting.

    • Creation of management reports from accounting records and systems.

    • Providing guidance in line with HMRC taxation requirements, including VAT.

    • Operation of Xero, Quickbooks or similar.

    • Supporting clients through complex accounting functions.

    • Supporting clients with new software implementations and integrations.

    • Providing supportive and informative guidance to junior and apprentice accountants.

    • A strong commitment to your personal and professional development.

    Education, Training and Qualifications
    • A recognised accounting or bookkeeping qualification (e.g. AAT).

    • GCSE A-C Standard in Maths, English and Science

    • Demonstrable excellent written communication skills


    Experience

    Minimum 3 years experience in bookkeeping or accounting work. Project management or software implementation would be advantageous.

    2: Data Analyst Apprentice

    Apprentice Data Analyst

    Job Description:

    • Job Title: Apprentice Data Analyst

    • Hours: 35hrs Full time (20% off the job training)

    • Holidays: 24 days per year plus bank holidays 

    • Reports to: Operations Manager

    • Location: Stafford ST16


    1. Purpose of the Job:

    To acquire academic qualifications and work based experience to become a competent data analyst with the ability to contribute to our team of professional analysts and consultants.


    2. Main Activities and Tasks

    Reporting into the Operations Manager with mentoring from an experienced analyst, you will work on live client projects to administer and develop data in various formats and across multiple software platforms.
    You will play an important role in handling and transforming data from variousimport Recruitment from './recruitment'; businesses, using cloud software to streamline operations, as well as using Microsoft Power BI for reporting and statistical analysis.
    You will receive comprehensive on-the-job training and have the opportunity to work with experienced professionals to develop your skills and advance your career.


    3. General Accountabilities and Responsibilities Apprenticeship

    Combined with the role, you will undertake an 18 month Level 4 Data Analyst Apprenticeship consisting of contextualised learning with a mixture of online, classroom events and workplace activities. You are accountable for attending all tuition sessions pertaining to your apprenticeship as well as submitting all coursework or assignments on time and any exams or tests including any revision time.

    At Work

    Working closely with the projects team, you will play an active role on client facing projects which will include inserting data into cloud software, helping clients with any data issues, handling support queries on data issues; and other ongoing tasks and responsibilities.

    The apprenticeship and work based training combination will provide you with detailed insights in Data Visualisation and Statistics, Data Modelling, Data Analysis, Data Architectures, Data Science and Data Analysis Tools and Concepts.

    You’ll also be responsible for any other ongoing tasks and responsibilities, some of which are noted below.

    • Using Google Sheets, Excel, Tableau and PowerBI

    • Installing and managing databases

    • Familiarisation with SQL commands

    • Using Python to do simple statistical analysis

    • Problem solving and articulating resolutions

    • Developing knowledge of data cleansing and standardisation

    • Using charts and visualisations in all the above software and interpreting results

    • Documenting and disseminating data

    • Complying with the Data Protection Act

    • Using data analysis tools to perform statistical functions

    • Collect, organise and manage data from various businesses

    • Clean, transform, and prepare data for analysis

    • Use cloud software to streamline business operations

    • Use Microsoft Power BI for reporting and statistical analysis

    • Work closely with the team to improve processes and identify trends

    • Communicate effectively and deliver insights and recommendations to clients, team members and partners

    • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities

    • Work on projects and consulting assignments for our clients as needed


    About You

    You will have a keen eye for detail and strong analytical problem solving skills. You will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and develop relationships with colleagues, clients and software partners. And finally, you will have good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to remove jargon and blockers to articulate complex technical information into digestible forms.


    Education, Training and Qualifications

    No formal experience is required however the following skills would be advantageous: Experience of data management and manipulation, previous experience of any cloud software.


    Essential
    • GCSEs at grade C or above essential for Maths & English

    • Two A-Levels (One to include Maths, ICT or Economics) or Level 3 apprenticeship in a similar subject

    • BTEC Extended Diploma in I or International Baccalaureate at Level 3 in IT

Working with the projects team, you will deliver high-quality systems integrations to clients using software such as Unleashed, Xero, and A2X.

    You will be required to be in contact with clients face-to-face, using video calls, over the phone, and via email.


    3. General Accountabilities and Responsibilities Apprenticeship

    Combined with the role, you will undertake an 18-month Level 3 AAT Bookkeeping Apprenticeship consisting of contextualised learning with a mixture of online, classroom events and workplace activities. You are accountable for attending all tuition sessions pertaining to your apprenticeship and submitting all coursework or assignments on time and any exams or tests, including any revision time.

    At Work

    About You

    A highly organised team player, you will have a personable and approachable manner with an eye for detail and a problem-solving mindset. You will need to be able to use your own initiative, follow processes and embrace technical problems as an interesting challenge.


    Education, Training and Qualifications

    No formal experience is required however, the following skills would be advantageous: AAT Level 1 or 2 Accounts or Accounts Administration experience.
