We have won a prestigious national legal award in recognition of the development of a range of international services, including a Polish service.

Carter Lemon Camerons LLP was announced as the winner of the Business Development category at the LexisNexis Legal Awards at a glittering ceremony at the Sheraton Grand London Park Lane on Wednesday 13 March 2019.

In recent years, we have diversified with a range of international services including ones focusing on South East Asia, South Africa and Poland.

The rigorous judging process involved us making a detailed written submission to a panel of independent judges, setting out how our international services benefit clients.

The submission focused particularly on our Polish offering, which includes a range of services for businesses and individuals provided by Polish-speaking Partner, Kate Boguslawska and Registered European Lawyer, Aleksandra Kowalska.

We have been particularly engaged in supporting Polish businesses and individuals with preparing for Brexit, and we have taken part in briefings at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO), the British Embassy in Poland and the Polish Embassy in the UK on the subject.

As part of our Polish services, we have worked closely with a range of business organisations, including Polish Business Link, in spreading awareness of various matters affecting Polish businesses, including cross-border trade and employment considerations.

    Kate Boguslawska said:

“We are delighted to have been named as the winners of the Business Development category at the LexisNexis Legal Awards. Carter Lemon Camerons LLP have for a very long time helped clients from South Africa, Singapore and Hong Kong facilitating access to legal services in England and Wales. Seamus Smyth and Rufus Ballaster have clocked many travel hours and countless jet lags in doing so.

“I am pleased that extending our offering to Poland has been so successful. For obvious reasons, the last two years have created some particular challenges for Polish businesses and individuals in the UK and we have been pleased to help them overcome these.

“This is wonderful recognition for our whole firm and shows the impact that our international services are having.”
