Lawyers from one of the City of London’s leading law firms have travelled to Warsaw to take part in a prestigious conference intended to help bolster trading links between the two countries.
Kate Boguslawska, a Partner at Carter Lemon Camerons LLP, and Aleksandra Kowalska, a Registered European Lawyer at the firm, attended the UK-Poland Business, Trade and Investment Forum on 25 May 2018.
The forum was organised by the Polish Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Technology and the British Embassy in Warsaw.
Delegates heard from British and Polish trade ministers, before taking part in a range of sessions covering the key considerations in the trading relationships between the two countries.
Kate Boguslawska said: “The trading relationship between the UK and Poland has become ever more important since Poland’s accession to the EU in 2004. Now, as the UK prepares to withdraw from the EU, its trading links with individual member states take on a new importance.
“With a sizeable Polish diaspora in the UK, Poland is set to be a key trading partner for the UK post-Brexit.
“We were delighted to attend the forum and were glad to see so many British and Polish businesses engaging on this topic.
