Last BPCC & PBLINK event attracted nearly 80 Polish entrepreneurs. The seminar took place in Edinburgh on 20 March 2013.

This event focused on business strategy and considered the changes each company needs to make – and keep making – in order to become more competitive on the market.

John Hill, representing the Business Gateway, presented talked about planning business strategy. John encouraged all participants to determine the strategy goal and vision event for small businesses. Ashley MacIntyre firms from Anderson Strathern described various forms of running business in the UK while Jessie Craig made presentation about VAT considering VAT thresholds, how to minimise the paperwork associated with VAT and when should you consider becoming a VAT payer.

We have also hosted three Polish entrepreneurs who have already set up their own firm in Scotland. We'll learn how they started out in business, what form of corporate entity they chose and why – and what lessons they've learnt from their experience.

The formal presentations were followed by networking, which began with every participant introducing himself or herself to everyone else. The networking part of the evening was popular with participants.
