In the wake of Storm Boris, which has devastated Poland along with parts of the Czech Republic, Romania, and Austria, Aleksandra has turned her focus to disaster relief efforts. The storm has led to severe flooding in south-western Poland, with entire towns submerged and hospital corridors flooded. So far, at least 21 lives have been lost across the affected regions.
Leveraging her influence, Aleksandra initiated a fundraising campaign as part of the national flood relief organized by the Się Pomaga charity. Within just 40 hours, her efforts have helped raise £160,000 to support the victims. The funds will go directly to those impacted by the floods, many of whom have lost their homes, possessions, and access to basic necessities like clean water and electricity.
The campaign also appeals to the broader British community, encouraging support for the cause through donations, which can be made via the charity's website.
Aleksandra's leadership and influence within the Polish community in the UK, combined with her strong ties to Polish Business Link, demonstrate the powerful role that influencers and business networks can play in rallying support for critical humanitarian efforts.
She said "Our hearts go to our fellow countrymen, our families and those who are in this terrible situation. We live in Britain and have British friends and colleagues who would like to help."
