Bartlomiej Kowalczyk from the Polish Business Link welcomed delegates. He was followed by our partner Monika Ignatowska from Sami Swoi. The next presentation was delivered by Ewa Jasinska-Davidson who shed some light on how Polish Business Link supports entrepreneurs and SMEs in the UK. Ewa gave examples of two companies operating in the UK: Capital Business Links and BC Printing and how they have been working in partnership with PBLink. Next we had Mark Mildren from LITTLE Agency who talked about branding and the importance of keeping your business and brand consistent across all plaforms. Rachel Hatfield from Shoo Social Media focused on how to effectively network using Linked In and gave us some insightful tips. Closing remarks were delivered by our host Tony Wales, Director of Business Banking, NatWest Business who summarized the key messages from the day: consistency, brand awareness, networking and building strong relationships with our clients.
Then there was a chance for some speed networking during which everyone had the opportunity to introduce themselves and their business in 30 seconds.
This was followed by Informal networking and 1-2-1 discussions with our experts. Although the event officially closed at 19.00, we continued fruitful conversations over a glass of wine at the nearby Novotel bar. We would like to thank our hosts Lorna Blackett and Tony Wales from NatWest for their hospitality.
We have received some very good feedback from the participants. The next event in the north will take place in Manchester on 28th September at the NatWest offices and will focus on how to manage finances, obtain funds for developing your business or how to get the price right.
